Rooted in love, renewal, and the gentle arrival of spring, this design is inspired by the Anishinaabemowin word Odemin, meaning “heart berry.” In Anishinabe culture, the heart berry marks the beginning of the season and symbolizes connection, care, and new beginnings. When a strawberry is cut down the middle, it reveals the shape of a heart—an image that inspired Brooke’s very first design and the start of Indigi Case.
Each case features artwork by Brooke Wawatie, a self‑taught artist from Kitigan Zibi whose creations honour her culture, her stories, and the natural world. With its warm spirit and meaningful symbolism, this Odemin design brings a sense of love and seasonal renewal to your everyday carry.
